This is a FIFO position travelling to our various onsite Laboratories.ResponsibilitiesKeep clients informed on progress of samples and answer queries.Manage priorities and monitor progress to ensure timeliness and quality of results.Maintain appropriate staff levels and encourage enhancement of skills.Ensure adequate organisational structure is in place.Ensure staff training and records are kept.Responsible for quality and accuracy of results.Provide regular management and quality reports.Maintain Quality Management System and Laboratory Manuals.Ensure equipment is adequately maintained.Maintain and improve own knowledge to be able to contribute towards progression of the laboratory.Responsibility for P&L; whilst working within a defined budget.Contribute to setting operating and capex budgets.QualificationsProfessional qualifications in chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrable experienceExperience in geochemistry laboratory work and chemical knowledgeBasic understanding of computer applicationsExperience in supervising staffDemonstrated experience in administrationCompetent in using CCLAS LIMSKnowledge of Company Quality SystemsBasic business finance understandingAdditional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?
