Summary
Responsible for maintaining grounds and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests at the Casino and related properties.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Prepare and amend soil, plant flowers, shrubs, and trees.
2. Install weed fabric, ground covers, and irrigation systems.
3. Maintain lawns by mowing, raking leaves, weed-eating, and edging.
4. Plant and prune trees, shrubs, and flowers.
5. Remove debris from stairs and walkways.
6. Water plants and perform irrigation activities.
7. Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, edgers, and hand tools.
8. Assist in maintaining parking lots and surfaces, including minor repairs.
9. Install and remove outdoor signage, barriers, and banners as needed.
10. Prepare grounds for special events and assist in cleanup afterward.
11. Provide courteous service to team members and guests.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements
* High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
* Must be at least 21 years old.
* Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's license and Casino driver permit, if required.
* Ability to communicate via portable radios or cell phones.
* Pass a mandatory drug test.
* Obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
* Provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
* Proficient in English communication.
Physical Demands
* Lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
* Perform all job requirements physically.
* Work at heights using scaffolding or ladders.
* Work around machinery with exposure to vibration, dust, fumes, etc.
* Wear protective equipment such as masks, gloves, eyewear, and weather gear.
Work Environment
* Work in a non-smoking environment.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Work in noisy environments.
* Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
* Availability to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and during special events.
