ROLE PURPOSE
The Assistant Manager provides support to the Store Manager and provides leadership, motivation and coaching to the retail team, taking ownership and management of the following:
* Achieve sales plans and other nominated KPI's targets
* Assist in managing wages and base rosters within plan
* Assist with stock management whilst minimizing shrinkage and maximizing profit contribution
* Enhance customer service through team training and leadership
* Participate in driving retail team's development and skills
* Uphold RAG Culture and Values at all times
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Assist in delivery of all retail financial KPI's
* Monitor and maximise store performance and profit
* Assist in effective management of store expenses with a particular emphasis on wages via roster control
* Ensure customer service standards and customer satisfaction is maximised at all times
* Ensure company policies and training manuals are implemented across the store team, ensuring consistent management of standards and expectations
* Build a culture of positivity, professionalism and solid communication across the store team
* Identify and deliver a commitment to store team training as required during business growth
* Ensure future internal succession by developing the team through successful hiring, training, coaching, retention, succession planning and team motivation
* Participate in recruitment, hiring and induction of team at the highest possible standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Ensure the team are cross‐trained ensuring business continuity during periods of leave
* Effective stock management through utilising relevant reporting tools, ensuring stock procedures (IBT'S/Faulties/Recalls) are managed correctly
* Plan time efficiently ensuring adequate time is spent to manage business and team objectives
* Assist in effective rostering throughout and in the lead up to school holidays and sale preparation, pre‐Christmas preparation. Ensure blackout dates are being adhered to
* Uphold merchandising standards as set by VM to maximise sales
* Actively be involved in seeking further centre marketing opportunities
