The Department of Education seeks a highly skilled and dedicated leader to assume the role of Principal at Woree State High School. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes of students in their schools.
About the Role:
This full-time temporary position, initially for a period of 6 months until further notice, will provide an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and visionary leader to drive improvements in student outcomes while delivering a clear, inspiring vision for the school community.
The successful candidate will have a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders. As the Principal, you will be responsible for leading the school community to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the vision of the department
- Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders
Working with the Community:
The Principal will work closely with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business partners to form strong partnerships that support the education and well-being of students. You will also be expected to actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in education.
