Introduction
Do you enjoy leading environmental compliance on site and ensuring project activities meet regulatory and internal standards? Do you want to contribute to one of Australia's newest large‑scale salt operations by supporting both construction and operational teams with practical environmental guidance? Reporting to the Head of Environment & Heritage, the two Senior Environment Advisors are responsible for driving environmental performance at our Mardie Operation, including implementing key management plans and maintaining reporting requirements.
The Company
BCI Minerals is a values‑driven company developing sustainable minerals for the modern world. We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project (Mardie Operation), a tier 1 solar evaporation project that will supply high‑purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash (SOP) for more than 60 years. Mardie will be the largest salt operation in Australia and the third largest globally. With first salt on ship on track to be achieved late next year, BCI Minerals is just at the beginning of its journey to become a key player in a multitude of globally significant sustainable opportunities.
Our values are the foundation of our success. They reflect our commitment to fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture driven by our people's collective efforts and unique strengths. They guide us in achieving our strategic goals and solidify our position as a leader in the industry.
The Role
The Senior Environment Advisor roles are responsible for ensuring the Mardie Salt Operation and associated project activities are delivered in full compliance with environmental conditions, regulatory requirements, and BCI Minerals' internal policies and standards. As key members of the Operations team, the two Senior Environment Advisors will work closely with both site and Perth‑based stakeholders to provide proactive environmental support, guidance, and oversight.
Together, the roles will lead the implementation and ongoing management of critical environmental programs, maintain accurate records for statutory reporting, and contribute to the delivery of key Environmental Management Plans. A core focus for both positions is supporting and mentoring junior team members, including our site‑based Aboriginal Ranger, helping to build capability and foster strong environmental stewardship across the operation.
About You
We are seeking two experienced, hands‑on Environmental professionals with strong technical backgrounds and 5–10 years' experience in the Mining or Resources sector. Each successful candidate will bring confidence working alongside construction and operations teams, with the ability to analyse environmental data, provide informed recommendations, and ensure compliance across a developing project environment. A solid working knowledge of safety and environmental management systems, along with proficiency in MS Office, is essential.
The ideal candidates will be effective communicators with strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving skills, and a high level of attention to detail. You will thrive in a complex team environment, demonstrate resilience and adaptability as the project evolves, and maintain a disciplined approach to delivering outcomes within defined timeframes. Experience in the salt industry and competency in operating 4WD vehicles will be highly regarded.
The successful candidates will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than three months and, if site‑based, must hold a WA White Card.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
