Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for developing and preparing all civil infrastructure supporting the main plant facilities for Financial Investment Decision (FID) and ongoing management of the CBOP Package through execution and commissioning phases.
This role encompasses full commercial, technical, and strategic accountability for civil works development including site preparation, foundations, roads and hardstands, drainage, buildings, and associated infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesTake full accountability for developing the Civil Balance of Plant package to FID-ready status including scope definition, cost estimation, execution strategy, procurement, and risk assessmentCoordinate with Asset Development Director and Project Director on overall project strategy and FID preparation activitiesDevelop comprehensive procurement, contracting, and execution strategies that provide cost certainty and execution confidenceLead procurement processes including tendering, contractor selection, collaborative design development, and commercial framework establishmentSupport negotiations of ECI agreements and execution contracts for the CBOP PackageInterface with regulatory authorities, local councils, statutory bodies, landowners, and First Nations groupsWork closely with Commercial and Project Controls teams to develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reportingManage and lead the work of a team; provide motivation, encouragement, and opportunities for developmentSkills and ExperienceExtensive experience with ECI procurement models, contract development, and collaborative delivery approachesProven track record in project development from concept through to FID or equivalent investment milestoneStrong commercial acumen with understanding of project financing, investment decisions, and risk allocationExperience with contractor evaluation, commercial negotiation, and strategic procurement processesKnowledge of regulatory approval processes, stakeholder engagement, and project development requirementsPrevious experience in large-scale infrastructure project development, preferably energy, mining, or industrial facilitiesStrong leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary development and delivery teamsExcellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and investorsQualificationsTertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Law, or a related fieldDriver's licenceWhite cardTo ApplySquadron Energy is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
