UNSW IT, part of UNSW's Operations Division, provides high quality, sustainable, flexible products and state‐of‐the‐art technology services to the university. The Senior Test Analyst works within domain solution teams, collaborating with business analysts, functional analysts, technical developers and the IT testing Practice CoE.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive analysis of project requirements and design test cases for thorough coverage.
* Perform manual and automated testing within waterfall or agile sprints, covering system integration, functional, volume, user interface, and performance testing.
* Ensure product releases exceed predefined quality standards.
* Document test cases, plans, results, and defects, and analyse testing efforts for completeness.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, including estimations and retrospectives, and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Create, maintain, and run automated test scripts to streamline testing processes.
* Collaborate with business teams, developers, and SMEs to align with customer requirements.
* Engage in development guilds for knowledge sharing and learning.
* Establish and execute reusable test cases and scripts using UNSW IT testing framework and tools such as TestRay or Zephyr.
* Analyse and report test activities and results, identifying and implementing continuous improvements to testing and QA processes.
* Escalate test issues and ensure resolution.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline with 5+ years of software testing experience.
* Proven ability to prepare test plans, test cases, execute tests, and report defects.
* Experience with CRM D365, Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimiser, and Selenium automation.
* Experience developing and implementing IT testing strategies and full life‐cycle testing methodologies in Agile/Dev‐Ops environments.
* Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin/Karate, Playwright, TestNG, Zephyr, Selenium, Browserstack, Jenkins, Ghost Inspector.
* Comprehensive understanding of testing phases: System Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing.
* Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
* Ability to advocate the value of software testing to stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks.
