Electrical Estimator Role
We're seeking a skilled professional to assist in delivering high-quality electrical and mechanical estimating services. As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of tenders for switchboard, switchroom, and engineered solution contracts.
This position is part of a team that contributes to the delivery of projects across various industries including renewable energy, infrastructure, power generation, water, and wastewater, mining, heavy industry, and oil and gas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development of precise and timely electrical and mechanical estimates for projects.
2. Ensure tender documents are technically correct, cost-effective, and include adequate provisions for resources.
3. Maintain strict document control throughout the tender process.
4. Prepare and submit tenders on time, guaranteeing all documentation is complete and properly authorised.
5. Review contract documentation and compare award terms against tender submissions.
6. Become knowledgeable about relevant Australian standards and client-specific requirements.
7. Collaborate with Lead Estimators on Switchroom estimates and related tasks.
8. Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and tender output requirements.
9. Utilise established systems and processes to prepare professional tender submissions.
10. Clarify client needs to ensure tender content is accurate and relevant.
11. Provide support for marketing activities, presentations, and tender negotiations as required.
12. Respond promptly and accurately to client queries regarding tender submissions.
13. Communicate with suppliers and provide updates to clients when necessary.
