Crane Crew Trainee – Thales
Thales is offering a year 3-year traineeship program undertaking Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations. You will learn the technicalities of your traineeship and apply this to a supportive on‑the‑job environment. The role is based at Woolloomooloo, Garden Island, Australia (Gadigal land).
Responsibilities
- General lift of construction material for ship maintenance
- Rigging and removal of major ship components in Dry Dock
- Working safely at heights in boom lifts and manboxes
- Forklift operation
- Gain Mobile Crane and Portal Crane experience

Qualifications & Requirements
- While not limited to this list, you must be willing to undertake Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations
- Australian Defence Roles & Security: A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance
- Clearance information is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency
