About the Role
This role is part of the Asset & Operations business unit that underpins and enhances the Corporation's ability to deliver on its purpose, values and drivers. The Wastewater Process Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of wastewater treatment processes within the Bendigo region.
The role works in close collaboration with the Wastewater Operations Manager to ensure seamless integration of process optimisation and daily operations management. The Wastewater Process Manager focuses on optimising treatment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality wastewater services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Treatment Process Oversight: Ensure the performance and control of wastewater treatment processes meet water quality standards.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve environmental outcomes.
* Technical Expertise: Utilise technical and operational expertise to enhance the organisation's position in relation to partnership contracts.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all wastewater processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
* Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner, including environmental compliance reports.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Wastewater Operations Manager to ensure coordinated management of wastewater facilities.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team consisting of one Process Operation Engineer.
Requirements:
* Expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience in Wastewater Treatment Processes together with qualifications acquired through a tertiary degree in engineering, science or other relevant discipline.
* Operational Experience: Extensive experience in wastewater treatment operations and process management.
* Compliance: Proven track record of managing compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
* Leadership: Experience leading and managing teams in a wastewater or similar operational environment.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with SCADA systems and process control technologies.
* Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
* Australian Workers' Rights: A valid and current Australian workers' rights.

Salary and Conditions:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5, ranging from $115,162 to $139,851 plus superannuation. The final salary will be offered to the successful candidate based on skills and experience.
