About the role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic maintenance team based in Somersby NSW.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working rotating shifts, day, afternoon and night shift.
**In this role you will**:
- Carrying out preventative, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment within the factory
- Working closely with the maintenance team to analyse performance issues and develop and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory
- Assisting in ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard
- Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence
- Help develop AFPP's and PM's
- Follow all site safety procedures
What you bring to the role
- Mechanical trade license or similar (Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment
- Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experience
- Confined spaced & WAH - preferred
- Strong safety focus
- SAP maintenance system proficiency
- First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
