Role Purpose
The Early Childhood Teacher will deliver high‑quality early childhood education, guided by evidence‑informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice. The role is aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations. Responsibilities include leading the implementation of the educational program in funded kindergarten sessions and building positive, respectful and collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues while ensuring an inclusive environment and compliance with all service policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
* Plan, implement, and assess a play‑based educational program that meets the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework.
* Maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where each child's learning and development needs are met.
* Collaborate with families, staff and community stakeholders to maximise educational outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with child safety and legal obligations, including the Child Safe Standards.
* Model and promote the Department's values of Responsibility, Integrity, Impartiality, Accountability, Respect, Leadership and Human Rights.

Qualifications and Specific Skills Required
* Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification.
* Valid VIT registration.
* Willingness to consent to a Police Check (and if residing outside Australia for 12 months or more during the last 10 years, an International Police Check).
* Protections Children – mandatory online reporting module completion.
* First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.
* Food Handling Certificate and Safe Sleep Training (desirable).
