West Hawthorn Pre-School is seeking to recruit to multiple educator roles across the kindergarten.
We have the following roles available (hours include non-contact time):
* 3-year-old group 7.45am to 4.00pm Tuesdays and Fridays
* 4-year-old group 8.00am to 5.00pm Thursdays and Fridays
These positions have a 10 week leave model.
The successful applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with fellow teachers and educators, children and families, the Committee of Management and other stakeholders. They will be highly organised and have a solid knowledge of early childhood education, with demonstrated ability to work with the team to maintain a kindergarten program that exceeds national standards.
West Hawthorn Pre-school is a non profit community-based, sessional kindergarten. We provide two programs for 3-Year-Old and two programs for 4-Year-Old children. Established in 1947, West Hawthorn Pre-school has been providing enriching learning experiences for over 70 years. We are a friendly, caring and respected, not-for-profit, pre-school and can be found nestled amongst the peaceful and leafy surrounds of Smart Street Reserve.

About you
The successful applicant will share and look to extend our kindergarten's philosophy and will meet the following requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in the education industry, with particular consideration given to a previous role in a community-based kindergarten.
* Previous experience working within kindergartens with a current knowledge of early childhood education theory and practice.
* Sound understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and/or Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS).
* Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
* Upholding an inclusive and welcoming learning environment that recognises and values the diverse backgrounds of all children, families, and the local community.
* Demonstrated professionalism and ethical conduct in their interactions with children, families, and colleagues.
* Committed to ongoing professional development and seeking opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Must hold a minimum qualification of a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care recognised by ACECQA.
* Hold a current ACECQA compliant First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis.
* Current child protection training.
