About the Role As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will provide direct support, care and mentorship to children and young people living in Intensive Therapeutic Care homes across Cooranbong.
We have young people that we support across the area who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse or neglect and may have a mental health, physical or psychosocial disability.
To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient problem solver, who can adapt to an ever-changing environment and be a strong advocate for the young people you support.
You will need to have availability to work a 24/7 roster including night and weekend shifts.
Skills Experience A Diploma in Community Services or related field, OR Current enrolment into Degree or Diploma(Note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience) A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate Australian Drivers Licence Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
