About the Role

CoCounsel, part of Thomson Reuters, is seeking a Lawyer Product Specialist ( Canada ). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about the cutting edge of AI and legal technology. As part of the Product Management Organization, you will help ensure the reliability and value of CoCounsel, the world's first AI legal assistant. Your contributions will directly impact CoCounsel's mission to deliver unparalleled value to top law firms and legal departments globally.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a LawyerProduct Specialist, you will:

1. Collaborate with internal and external teams to support product programs and initiatives related to artificial intelligence and legal technology solutions.

2. Assist in the testing and validation of generative artificial intelligence technology for legal industry applications designed for legal practitioners in Canada .

3. Contribute to understanding our customers' pain points and goals to help articulate value propositions.

4. Support the development of advanced use cases for lawyer s utilizing the CoCounsel platform.

5. Provide feedback on CoCounsel's ongoing performance to our team of engineers and data scientists.

6. Assist senior team members in client engagements, supporting Enterprise clients.

* Provide support to other Thomson Reuters divisions and teams on select projects.

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Product Specialist if you possess these attributes:

7. Passion for legal research, writing, and analysis, with attention to detail.

8. Commitment to knowledge-sharing, efficiency, and excellence in legal work.

9. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

10. Excellent organizational and project management skills.

11. Highly motivated, with an ability to understand and support departmental goals.

* Strong team player with a strong work ethic who works collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Your background should include:

12. A law degree and a license to practice law in Canada are required

13. Minimum of 2-3 years litigation practice experience, transactional experience a plus

14. French language and some experience with Quebec law preferred

15. Experience with or interest in AI tools preferred

* Computer proficient with a strong understanding in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
