We need two people motivated by lifelong learning, curiosity and creativity to join Libraries ACT in our brand new Senior Librarian roles.
You'll work together, each leading a team of librarians, modelling best practice, coordinating professional activities across multiple branches, and collaborating to help strengthen and improve our library services. You must have strong organisation, collaboration, communication and people management skills.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: An ALIA-accredited undergraduate or postgraduate university qualification in library and information science, acceptable for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association, is mandatory.

Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
These positions are mobile, and the occupants will routinely move between locations across the library network as required. They will work weekdays, and occasional evenings or weekends on an as needs basis.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill senior librarian vacancies over the next 12 months.
