Lead Community Engagement Specialist
This is a key role in our organization, responsible for leading the development and implementation of best practice community engagement strategies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our infrastructure projects are executed with minimal impact on the community, while maximizing support and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in community engagement and stakeholder management, with experience in incorporating best practice into large and contentious infrastructure projects. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with an ability to motivate, inspire and manage a team of professionals.
* Manage a team of community engagement specialists through effective leadership, technical review of community engagement approach, performance management and peer support.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* • Understand Western Power's legal obligations related to all public outreach activities.
* • Provide stakeholder management advice on complex issues involving controversial topics or sensitive stakeholders.
1. • Lead cross-business initiatives aimed at fostering awareness about sustainability assessment being integrated into strategic decision-making processes across departments.
