**About the role**
The Payroll Officer is a key member of the People & Culture Team of GEO Healthcare and will play an integral role in the successful transition and delivery of Primary Healthcare Services to Public Prisons in Victoria.
Based at GEO Healthcare's Head Office in Carlton, and reporting to the Director, People & Culture you will undertake processing of the GEO Healthcare payroll; and ensure that the payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
As time permits, the role will also work as part of the small team providing HR administration services to the business, with the opportunity for involvement in recruitment, rosters and general HR administration.
**Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**:
- Experience in undertaking computerised payroll procedures in an operating environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of the P&C; Team.
- Ability to work unsupervised; and to set and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of payroll legislation and processes, including taxation and superannuation.
- Ability to interpret awards and enterprise agreements.
**Desirable**:
- Experience with the Infinium Payroll and KRONOS systems.
**Other Requirements of the role**:
- Valid and current full Australian driver's licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to work in Carlton Office 5 days each week.
