Registered Nurse - Mental Health Inpatient
This role requires a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in providing specialist mental health nursing care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting mental health and physical assessments, monitoring responses to biological treatments, and engaging in therapeutic nursing practices.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
* Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency)
* Specialist psychiatric nursing undergraduate qualification or a Bachelor of Mental Health Nursing, OR a Bachelor of Nursing qualification and a Postgraduate qualification
* Diploma in Mental Health Nursing qualification, OR a Bachelor of Nursing with progression toward a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
* Demonstrated safe and effective communication techniques for interacting with individuals experiencing mental health issues
The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of therapeutic principles related to person-centred care and mental health, including therapeutic communication, early intervention, trauma-informed practice, partnering with consumers and families, strengths-based care planning, holding hope, personal recovery, culturally sensitive practices, and resilience enhancement.
