The Role
Are you passionate about music and shaping what listeners hear every day? Under the guidance of our Music Director, we have an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in the day‑to‑day music programming at Double J. You'll help craft the distinctive sound of the network, contribute to its creative output, and ensure our playlists resonate with audiences across Australia.
* Program music on Double J and help lead the sound of the network
* Develop and maintain knowledge of music and trends across a broad range of genres, particularly Australian music, that is relevant to Double J's core audience
* Help our program and content teams with music editorial decisions
* Maintain the Double J music library, including GSelector, Zetta and Netia databases
* Respond to audience enquiries regarding music on Double J
* Schedule and communicate promotional requirements to the Double J team
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a music programming role in radio or DSPs with accomplished editorial skills and judgement
* Advanced knowledge and experience in operating digital broadcast systems, production programs and equipment such as GSelector, Netia, Protools and/or other music scheduling programs
* Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks and deliver to deadlines
* Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
* High level understanding of and commitment to the role Double J plays in the Australian music and media landscape
