Scotford Fennessy has been retained to attract a General Manager for a successful, privately-owned energy management company.
Spanning 'traditional' energy and hybrid / decarbonisation solutions, they are well positioned to continue their successes over the past ~20 years, and going forward as the market continues transitioning towards alternative energy sources.AutonomyAs a General Manager for WA, you will report directly to the CEO who prides herself on empowering managers to 'run a business within a business'.
You will therefore be afforded full autonomy over the circa $25m P&L for the business unit including all staffing decisions.
At the same time, you will be an integral part of the ELT, responsible for day-to-day operations of the business.
Expect excellent shared services to support.SuccessionWith many across the business having tenures of 10 years' plus, there is a genuine interest in attracting a similarly, long-term minded individual.
This will best suit if you are on the 'upswing' of your career, with the intention being that this role will be a central part of future succession planning into senior leadership.LinesBroad service lines span end to end hire, sale and servicing of energy solutions, including transport, installation, and commissioning.
Other complementary services provide further diversity to profit streams, including a consulting service to clients to assist them towards emissions reductions goals.ApproachCulturally, the business strives for a family-orientated approach.
Team is treated in a mature manner in respect to commitments outside of work.
At the same time, the business is committed to being a positive contributor to community across WA, partnering with formal initiatives and sponsoring local teams/events on a more ad hoc basis.RequirementsYou will bring demonstrable experience running a business / business unit in the $15 – 50m bracket, with an uncompromising approach to safety.Experience within the hire sector and/or experience in the hydrocarbons industry would be beneficial.Ability to travel across WA and, less frequently, interstate.Interested?
