The Role
We currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics.
As a Dietitian Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning
* Demonstrated proficiency in the ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement
* Ability to provide leadership and direction in assisting the flexible utilisation of resources to enhance service delivery
* Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a Level 2 Dietitian
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
* Current Accredited Practicing Dietitian Status
* Experience in the acute hospital system, with specific knowledge of TPN, PEG and Enteral feeds
* Exceptional time management and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously
* Proven excellence in customer service delivery
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
