Are you a degree-qualified Mechanical Design Engineer with 8+ years of experience, ideally gained within a services contractor environment in Australia?
We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic team. The pipeline of projects is very strong, 2026 and beyond is looking great! You will be immersed into projects currently in hand; hospitals & defence are of particular interest.
You will be joining one of Australia's leading services contractors who provide a suite of services across mechanical/HVAC, electrical, security, technology & data markets. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and development of innovative mechanical systems for a variety of exciting projects; health, commercial, data-centre, defence. You will leverage your expertise to create efficient and effective solutions, working collaboratively with a skilled team of professionals. Key Responsibilities:
* Design and engineer mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
* Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Conduct calculations and simulations to validate design concepts.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.
About You:
* 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with a local services contractor.
* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
* Strong understanding of Australian building codes and standards.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Full work rights for Australia - no sponsorship opportunities are available. NV1 clearance is required for some defence projects!
