Production Engineering Role
We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to lead our Maintenance function and ensure the efficient operation of our rapidly scaling food manufacturing facilities.
The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance team, champion equipment reliability, drive continuous improvement, and lead engineering projects that boost uptime, safety, quality, and performance.

About the Role
This role is responsible for:
* Providing day-to-day leadership aligned with our Purpose and values
* Coaching and developing maintenance team members across mechanical & electrical skillsets
* Allocating work, supporting on the floor, and fostering strong cross-functional relationships
* Ensuring all work meets GMP, hygiene, and foreign matter standards
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Leading troubleshooting, repairs, and root cause analysis
* Managing contractors, OEMs, and spare parts
* Applying hygienic design principles to repairs and upgrades
* Overseeing key assets: tempering machines, enrobers, cooling tunnels, ball mills, mixers, depositors, packaging equipment, utilities
* Scope, executing, and commissioning equipment upgrades
* Managing timelines, risks, documentation, and Change Control
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering OR trade qualification with strong experience
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
* Solid understanding of electrical systems, sensors, drives, and automation
* 3+ years in food manufacturing or FMCG preferred
* Experience supervising or supporting a technical team
