The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to provide safe, compassionate care to patients and families.
Job Description
* This role involves providing senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
Suitable candidates will possess relevant post-registration qualifications, at least 3 years' experience working in the relevant clinical area, and demonstrated evidence of advanced clinical practice in the specialty area.
A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is also required.
This position requires flexibility in the distribution of hours and may involve working varying shifts including Thursday weekly.
Key Responsibilities
* To exercise extended autonomy of decision making;
* To exercise professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills.
* To undertake leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice service delivery in the ward/service; or
* To undertake primary case management within a defined specialty involving both inpatient and community based services.
Applicants should have strong commitment to contribute to own and team professional development and act as a resource person and to mentor others within the specialty where required.
