Consultant/Specialist General Surgeon - Newcastle, NSW
Salary Type: Salary package up to $370,000
The Opportunity: We’re seeking a General Surgeon with subspecialty accreditation in Breast Endocrine or Upper GI Surgery to join a supportive and high-functioning surgical team. You’ll work collaboratively with Specialists and VMOs, providing expert care across a wide geographical region in NSW.
Employment Type: Permanent (Staff Specialist) / Sessional (VMO) Hours: 40 hours/week (Staff Specialist) or per roster (VMO)

Selection Criteria:
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, or via an overseas-trained specialist pathway
* Fellowship with the applicable College (e.g. FRACS)
* Subspecialty accreditation in Breast Endocrine or Upper GI
* Strong clinical leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and community engagement
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster
