Job Title: Motor Mechanic
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Welshpool, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
About the Role:
The Motor Mechanic will perform a wide range of mechanical repairs and services, including inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles
* Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs
* Repair and replace worn or defective parts (including engines, brakes, suspension systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems)
* Conduct test drives and post-repair diagnostics to ensure repairs are successful
* Maintain accurate job records and complete service reports
Requirements:
* Certificate III & IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience as a motor mechanic
* Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicle electronics
* Ability to read technical manuals and diagnostic software
