**What will I contribute?**
- To manage the site to achieve crop target outcomes within the allocated budget and required quality standards._
Here's what you'll be doing:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Crop health and production**
- Manage climate and crop inputs to optimise production
- Identify and investigate pest and disease issues and assign effective corrective actions in accordance with Company protocols and policy
- Communicate pest and disease issues to direct reports
- Undertake regular plant quality checks and discussions with site team and PBC management
- Manage and report plantings progress and health
**Safety**
- Undertake WH&S risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to support wokrplace safety
- Report safety, incidents, accidents and near misses to the General Manager as required by Company policy
- Provide safety instruction to employees as required
- Support the development of a site safety culture and lead by example
- Contribute effectively to WHS committee meetings and the investigation/resolution of reported incidents
**Budget and Forecasting Input**
- Contribute to the development of the site budget and targets
- Manage the site budget to ahcieve outcomes
- Assist with weekly production forecast for all crops on site
**Minimise Operational Risk**
- Monitor, calculate and assess energy and water usage requirements
- Ensure plants are able to produce first grade quality fruit
**Team Performance**
- Manage the site team to deliver required outcomes
- Manage performance as required
- Support the development of the desired Company workplace culture
- Participate in and contribute to PBC management discussions as part of a broader management team
- Actively engage with PBC management team to achieve labour budget
**What do I need for the role?**
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- 6+ years' experience in the horticulture industry
- Current forklift licence
- Current driver's licence
- Bachelor's degree qualification in horticulture, science or related discipline
- Ability to comply with Company policies and procedures
- Ability to work in accordance with the Company values
The following will be highly regarded:
- Significant experience with protected cropping, climate and fertigation management using the Priva control system or similar
- Chem Aust Accreditation

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
