Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Kalgoorlie or FIFO opportunity available for a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
* Operate in a well-equipped and covered workshop.
* Rosters: 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
The Role:
Operate in Kalgoorlie Residential or FIFO ex Perth.
Perform scheduled servicing & maintenance on prime movers, tankers / trailers, dollies including engine Tune-ups.
Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, diagnosis & repair of air brake systems, steering & suspension systems, engine & driveline components, vehicle lighting systems, ABS / EBS electronic braking systems.
* Recording information / records of all work completed on mobile assets.
* Ability to read / follow diagrams & flow charts for fault troubleshooting process.
* Maintain a high level of safety when performing all tasks.
* Ensuring all assets are in roadworthy condition before they are released from the workshop.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade Qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Australian Recognised).
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C class).
* Unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
* Dedication to high safety standards within the workshop.
* Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
* Collaborative team player with a positive and constructive attitude.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role/industry.
* Experience with road transport/truck and trailer repairs, fault diagnosis, and servicing.
