Edson Piggery is a two-generation family-owned business based in the Murraylands and is one of the leading producers in the industry. We are a modern, quality assured piggery, operating from farrow to finisher and grow our own grain and straw produce. Edson Piggery strive for better animal welfare and sustainable farming to provide quality produce to our major supermarkets. Edson Piggery operates on a 4-week batch farrow system.
We are looking for a driven Maintenance/Handyperson to join our team. They will be reporting to the Managing Directors and will be responsible but not limited to:
* Assist in the building of new sheds and shelters
* General maintenance of structures and fixtures
The position is full time, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4.30PM with one weekend per month on a rotating roster.
The successful applicant will have:
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively on time constraints
* Welding and concreting experience desirable
* Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Understanding of animal health, welfare and farming
* Driver's license and their own vehicle
* Tractor and Loader experience desirable
