About the opportunity
The School of Mathematics and Statistics is currently seeking a
Lecturer in Pure Mathematics
who will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning design, delivery, and evaluation in pure mathematics while continuing to build research contribution, expertise, connections, and impact.
Your key responsibilities will be to
work closely with other School members in geometric group theory, representation theory and related areas
conduct high-quality research in geometric group theory, representation theory or related areas
teach graduate and undergraduate courses in pure mathematics for students from different disciplinary backgrounds
supervise and coordinate graduate and undergraduate students,
apply for external funding.

Lecturer in Pure Mathematics
who has:
a PhD (or near completion) in geometric group theory, representation theory or a related area
evidence of independent research, compatible with the standards at The University of Sydney
