Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Safety, Health & Wellbeing Advisor to work with our client Main Roads WA, working full time hours and based in the Northam office on a 12 month fixed term contract with the opportunity for extension.
We welcome applications from those local to the Northam area or are willing to commute to and from the office daily.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Managing the safety function for the Wheatbelt area, including for the Main Roads offices in Northam, Narrogin, and associated project sites Site inspections and audits: Undertake site inspections and audits.
Review records for trends and/or inconsistent data via desktop investigation Facilitate toolbox meetings (depot): Develop and deliver toolbox meetings for the routine maintenance and direct managed work crews Incident Management: Site investigations and reports; Follow-up procedures and associated documentation; lessons learnt Records management using MRWA systems and software including TRIM, INX (EQSafe) and Risk Management protocols/guidelines.
What you will bring to the team: 7 to 15 years of relevant experience Experience in safety in an operational organisation Sound understanding of the WHS regulations Mentoring and coaching experience Implementation and Training of safety systems Qualifications and experience required: Cert 4 WHS Certification in Lead Investigation (ICAM or similar), obtained within the last 5 years Internal Auditor certification Collecting Specimen for Alcohol and Drug Testing Interested?
