Heka Hoods are a patented Australian innovation. Invented, designed, developed, and manufactured by Heka Hoods in Queensland. Our CEO, Founder & Visionary, Yvette Kordick, designed and established the Heka Hoods operational methodology based on the Rockefeller Habits, and implemented these through Scaling Up principles. This organisational design was the vehicle to commercialise the Heka Hood and support and accelerate the significant growth of Heka Hoods sales, production and distribution. Our daily huddles, weekly team meetings, work processes and monthly one-to-ones are all designed intentionally to manage workflow and communication within teams and across the organisation.
We're seeking a Chief Operations Officer who is results‐orientated, loves problem solving and driving change towards the big picture. This role is well suited to someone who seeks to lead and make an impact, takes a purposeful approach to most situations and people, and is organised and thorough in their work.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, Founder & Visionary, you are the critical link between the CEO and the wider organisation, the Chief Operations Officer is the Integrator, translating strategic intent into practical execution, leads a high‐performance culture, and ensures the business operates efficiently, safely and profitably.
As the Chief Operations Officer you will lead the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of Heka Hoods, realising the commercial, operational and financial success of the Heka Hoods range of products. By setting clear expectations and modelling excellence in execution, the Chief Operations Officer ensures the organisation consistently delivers exceptional products, manufacturing quality, and customer experiences. The three key pillars of scope for this role are business performance, people engagement and corporate governance.
This is a role for someone who prefers an innovative and fast paced environment, is able to deal with pressure and multiple priorities, and takes pride in achieving ambitious strategic goals.
What You'll Do
* Lead and collaborate effectively with the SLT by building strong relationships and positioning the team to effectively deliver the Heka Hoods strategic vision
* Lead by example and model Heka Hoods' values, develop talent, foster high performance, and ensure clear expectations, engagement and structured performance processes across the team
* Present high‐level business analytics to inform, measure and create structured accountability for performance and investment return
* Manage Heka Hoods' financial performance by monitoring key metrics, budgets and risks, reviewing financial reports, supporting SLT and Sales to address variances
* Act as a guide for the SLT in strategic implementation, using your close collaboration with the CEO & Founder your understanding of Heka Hoods goals to align teams and operations with strategic objectives
* Maintain an operationally successful environment by designing, implementing and reviewing plans, processes and workflows that support product development, embed LEAN principles, optimise team performance and ensure Heka Hoods consistently meets operational targets
* Maintain a commercially successful environment by designing, implementing and reviewing marketing and sales strategies, systems and processes that strengthen market presence, support sustainable growth, optimise customer engagement and enable Heka Hoods to consistently achieve revenue and sales targets

Experience & Qualifications
* Extensive people leadership experience
* Chief Financial Officer experience, minimum 5 years
* Prior success implementing Rockefeller Habits, Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), or Scaling Up
* Demonstrated engagement in Ei learning and professional development
* Manufacturing, production, robotics, engineering (or similar) professional industry experience
* Degree qualified, with post graduate continuous development
