BT Personnel Pty Ltd are seeking to fill the above position on behalf of Byrne Trailers Pty Ltd.
Byrne Trailers is looking for a skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team, specialising in the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems, with a particular focus on the Lincoln Robotic Welder.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
* Designing and optimising automated welding systems for efficiency and precision
* Developing control systems and programming robotic equipment
* Troubleshooting and maintaining Lincoln robotic welding units
* Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes
* Ensuring all automation systems are safe, compliant, and aligned with business needs
About You
We're seeking someone with:
* Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems (Lincoln preferred)
* A minimum of 1-2 years experience with robotic welding systems is required
* Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or similar)[EP1]
* A degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred for this position
* Strong understanding of PLC Programming
* 1-2 years experience in PLC programming is required
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Valid Australian work authorisation is required
