Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regular surveys of the mining areas to support mine planning and production activities. They will also be expected to keep mine digital models up-to-date with current workings, ensure mark up of drill rings to enable continuous cycle of drilling to occur, conduct underground CMS, Hovermap Scans for as-mined production void models, production reconciliation and mining records.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Providing regular surveys of the mining areas to support mine planning and production activities
* Keeping mine digital models up-to-date with current workings
* Maintaining survey equipment including cleaning and inspections, performing regular calibrations and equipment adjustment
* Engaging in project work to optimise mining efficiencies and the provision of general surveying services to the site as required
* Fostering positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including all employees, managers and customers
* Working independently and with the team to ensure collective and individual goals and objectives are achieved
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary or technical qualification in surveying or spatial information, or equivalent industry experience. They will also have experience with survey instruments, processes and software, and preferably experience in underground hard rock mining.
