About the Business
Our Concessions and Interpreting Services team delivers a range of concession payments and rebates to eligible South Australians to support their cost of living and community participation. This team also runs the Interpreting and Translating Centre and the Aboriginal Language Interpreting Service to connectpeople in a range of government and non-government settings.
Role Details
The Senior Project and Policy Officer - Aboriginal Language Interpreting Service is a role within Finance, Digital and Customer Support and is accountable to the Manager, Interpreting and Translating Centre for:
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing strategic and operational practices, projects, and policy for the delivery of Aboriginal language interpreting services to enable continuous improvement.
• Relationship building with existing and prospective Aboriginal interpreters, key Aboriginal stakeholders and key government and non-government partners who are critical to the ongoing success of the service.
• Developing and delivering culturally appropriate training for both interpreters and users of interpreters.
