We are a student support centre, providing tailored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander courses and study support. If you have strong work ethics, administration skills as well as experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, then you may be the person for this role. At CIT Yurauna we are privileged to work with students to support them to overcome barriers to complete their courses and to gain qualifications for employment outcomes. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Mandatory qualifications and/or registrations/licencing: All managers at Manager Education – Level 1 must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent), and a Diploma Vocational Education and Learning with a Diploma of Management highly desirable. Due to the vulnerability of the student cohort within the Yurauna Centre, prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra (act.gov.au) Industry experience and knowledge: Industry experience in a related field is highly desirable, with the ability to maintain currency with industry and employment trends in a rapidly changing environment. Desirable: Bachelor of Education, Management or relevant higher-level qualification. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 03 July 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. This is an Identified position in accordance with Section 27(4) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and is only open to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
