The Sunshine Coast Turf Club (SCTC) is a premier racing, events and entertainment venue located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. With a proud history and an ambitious future, SCTC hosts approximately 60 race meetings annually and continues to grow its reputation as a dynamic destination for raceday excitement, corporate functions, premium dining, and major community events.
We’re proud of our beautiful grounds and world class racing surfaces, and now we’re looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Person to help keep our venue at its best, every day.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, full-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in presentation, and wants to be part of a hardworking, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance and presentation of lawns, gardens, and grounds
- Mowing, edging, pruning, weed control, and fertilising
- Preparing and maintaining facilities and public areas for raceday and events
- Operating and maintaining tools, machinery and vehicles
- Supporting the Maintenance team with event and infrastructure setup
- Identifying and reporting safety or maintenance issues
About You
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping or similar outdoor maintenance role
- Confident operating mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and other garden equipment
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with valuable attention to detail
- Reliable, safety conscious and a solid team player
- Current driver’s licence (essential)
