Director, People and Culture Senior Executive, Band One Salary range $239,252 to $264, 197 inclusive of super Infrastructure NSW | Barangaroo, Sydney Lead Infrastructure NSW’s People and Culture function as the agency’s most senior HR leader, partnering with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to embed a high-performance, joint-accountability culture and deliver the workforce plan that supports our purpose. Infrastructure NSW plays a unique role in shaping the infrastructure that supports communities across NSW. We are a small, high impact organisation that values trust, collaboration and honest advice and we care deeply about how our people experience work. This is a role for a senior people leader who enjoys being hands-on and close to the business, partnering with executives, and helping leaders create the conditions where people can do their best work. About the role As Director, People and Culture, you will sit at the heart of Infrastructure NSW, working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. Your focus will be on strengthening leadership capability, embedding clear accountability and shaping a culture that reflects our values of Achievement, Safety and Wellbeing, Collaboration, and Truth and Courage. You will lead a small, trusted People and Culture team and operate with a high level of autonomy. Success in this role is less about policies and processes, and more about influence, judgement and impact. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will help shape how decisions are made, how leaders lead, and how people experience Infrastructure NSW day to day. About you You are an accomplished People and Culture leader with extensive experience developing and delivering people strategies, policies, programs and innovative initiatives. You bring strong executive presence and a track record coaching senior stakeholders through complexity and change. You have a thorough knowledge of HR management policies and practices and relevant statutory requirements (public sector knowledge is highly regarded), alongside strong influencing, negotiation and communication capability. You bring sharp analytical/problem-solving skills and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes to deadline. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience are expected.
