About Us

Education Services International Supply Group (ESISG) is a leading Indigenous-owned workforce development and training provider, delivering culturally safe training and employment solutions that empower individuals, businesses, and communities across Australia. We bridge the gap between industry needs and Indigenous workforce participation through tailored, impactful programs.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to lead the delivery of two of our key defence programs—the Army Indigenous Development Program (AIDP) and the Regional Education Development Program (REDP)—based at Defence Establishment Berrimah in Darwin.

This role blends hands-on leadership of a multidisciplinary team with strategic business development, offering a rare opportunity to make a measurable impact while shaping the future of Indigenous education and employment pathways.

About the Role

Program Delivery (approx. 3 days/week):

* Lead, manage, and support a team of mentors, trainers, tutors, and admin staff
* Oversee daily operations of the AIDP and REDP to meet Army and ESI standards
* Collaborate with Army staff and ESI leadership to ensure smooth program delivery
* Support and mentor recruits and staff to foster personal and professional growth
* Contribute directly to the delivery of training and mentoring components
* Ensure compliance with VET and Defence training standards

Business Development (approx. 2 days/week):

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with ESI’s mission
* Build strategic partnerships with government, Defence, and Indigenous communities
* Support the growth of ESI’s NT presence and capability offerings

What We're Looking For

Essential:

* Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams
* Qualifications and/or experience in project management, business development, VET, or education
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
* Cultural competence and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Current Driver’s Licence, WWCC, and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* No criminal history that would impact ability to pass a police check.

Desirable:

* Business development or program growth experience
* Defence sector or structured operational background
* Budget management and reporting capabilities
* Light Rigid Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Why Join ESI?

* Contribute to a nationally respected, culturally empowering program.
* Work in a supportive and inclusive team driven by values and purpose.
* Be part of the successful transition of Indigenous youth into the ADF.
* Opportunity to be involved in other programs and opportunities with ESI

If you are passionate about mentoring and excited to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
