This is a contract/temporary position based in Southbank, Victoria, with potential for extension beyond November 2025.About The RoleThe Payroll Specialist will support payroll functions during system enhancements and business transformation, working on operational and technical aspects including system configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and payroll delivery using Chris 21 and Kronos.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce using Chris 21 and Kronos.System support, testing, and configuration within Chris 21 and Kronos (including time & attendance modules).Troubleshooting payroll data and system issues.Assisting with system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.Producing payroll reports and analytics for stakeholders.Liaising with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure data integrity.Ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, tax, and superannuation obligations.Key RequirementsExperience with both front-end and back-end of Chris 21 and Kronos.Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and awards.Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Experience in high-volume payroll environments is highly desirable.How To ApplyIf you meet the requirements and are interested, click Apply Now or contact Celena Sonntag at csonntag@sharpandcarter.com.au for a confidential discussion.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Human ResourcesIndustry: Staffing and Recruiting
