I* Location: **Bedford Park / Kaurna Country** **/Australia****About the Role:**The Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Marine Restoration Ecology will play an important role in advancing excellence in teaching and research within the. You will inspire students through engaging and innovative teaching in natural sciences, contribute to the development of curriculum and learning materials, and undertake impactful research in restoration ecology that supports environmental sustainability and aligns with the College’s research strengths.In this position, you will:* Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in restoration ecology using contemporary, multi-mode approaches.* Conduct ethical and innovative research, leading to quality publications, external funding, and research student supervision.* Build productive partnerships with industry, government, and community to enhance research and learning outcomes.*This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available.***About You:**With a growing or emerging record of excellence in teaching and research, you will demonstrate experience in delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching in a tertiary setting, including topic coordination, curriculum design, and use of e-learning platforms in marine restoration ecology. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to engage students and contribute positively to a collegial academic community.Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level A or Level B positions depending on their relevant experience. In this position, you will also demonstrate:* A minimum of four years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in restoration ecology or related area (Level A) or completion of a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in restoration ecology or a closely related field (Level B).* Demonstrated potential to deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching in natural sciences across multiple modes.* A developing research profile for career stage, evidenced by publications, grant activity, or collaboration in restoration ecology.* Experience in supervision of honors and HDR students, and demonstrated experience in accreditation activities (Desirable for Level B).**About Natural Sciences at Flinders University:**The is an exciting place to research, study, and work, supported by best practice teaching methods, practical work-related learning, and advanced facilities.
