Tom James Company - Academy Programme
The Academy Programme is a full-time, office based, opportunity for ambitious, hard-working individuals who desire an elevated professional opportunity in sales but have not had the opportunity to develop a track record in sales.
Academy Candidates (AC’s) will learn and gain mastery of our proven prospecting, lead nurturing and appointment setting methodologies through a comprehensive, structured training programme.
AC’s will be assigned to an experienced Outside Sales Professional (OSP) to support their sales activities by adding additional selling opportunities to their schedule. Once AC’s have demonstrated the work ethic, coachability, and aptitude for generating quality leads and appointments they will graduate from the Academy to the OSP role.
In addition to increasing sales through their core prospecting and phone calling activities, AC’s will also have an opportunity to learn about our long-term career path and witness our selling processes and client interactions during a 1x/week ‘follow day’ with their assigned OSP.
Expectations for our AC’s are set high to result in high rewards. AC’s are paid a competitive salary, $58750 per annum, as well as commissions on orders sold to prospects, and former customers, they book into their OSP’s calendars.
AC’s who achieve expectation in the program will earn up to > $3500 monthly while developing the skills and habits necessary for even greater opportunity in our uncapped, unlimited, OSP opportunity.
At the end of this 8-week AC programme, depending on performance and other factors, Tom James will determine whether to:
1. Transition the AC to our OSP position or
2. Maintain their place on the Academy Programme and daily activities with the goal of transitioning to the OSP role when the AC and Leader are ready.
Our opportunity is unmatched and uncapped, with average first year income of $70,000, Top Rookies earning consistently over $120,000, and veterans (5+ years tenure) averaging $200,000 annually! With 55 years of experience, we know the habits, dialogues and methods to take you anywhere you want to go.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
3. Prospecting for potential new clients: utilise our prospecting platforms including Outreach, Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and our CRM to identify, connect with and warm up quality prospects.
4. Updating contact information and conducting direct contact/marketing to customers who haven’t purchased from us in a while.
5. Phone Skills & Dials: > 130 dials/day with a goal to set > 25-35 appointments/week
6. Conduct client & prospect research on the individuals that the AC’s assigned OSP meets with to identify potential connections to other ideal clients for referrals.
7. Assist with some customer service communications to provide a world-class experience and additional sales opportunities
