Job Description
We seek a dynamic IT Technical Operations Manager with strong leadership skills and technical expertise. The role involves managing, leading, developing, maintaining, and optimizing on-premises and cloud server environments to ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of IT infrastructure, supporting business operations and growth.
Responsibilities
* Server Management of hybrid environment: oversee data centers hardware / software installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud servers using tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS Management Console, and Azure Portal.
* Demand management: forecasting, planning, and enhancing of capacity management reports of hardware / software aligning with business requirements.
* Monitor server performance: review monitoring tools and implement best practices to ensure optimal performance and availability of services and server environments.
* Automation: drive automation of repetitive tasks, processes, enhancing efficiency, reduce errors, and free up capacity of staff to focus on more strategic activities.
* IT Security and vulnerability: enhance, develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
* Backup and Recovery: manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability, ensuring business continuity and asset inventory.
* Vendor Management: collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
* People Management: resource planning, succession planning, mentorship and coaching of IT professionals, providing guidance and support for their development.
* Incident Management: respond to and resolve technical incidents and outages, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
* Policies and procedures: maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure, processes and procedures.
* Audit Governance and Compliance: ensure compliance with financial industry standards and regulations, ensuring governance and audit controls are adhered to.
* Identifying, mitigating IT Operation risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance IT operations.
Minimum requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
* 8-10 years of IT Operation experience, with at least 5 years within a managerial role
* In-depth understanding of Microsoft AD / Azure AD / DNS / Hyper-V and Hyper-V Clusters
* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure HPE / Dell, Storage, networking, and security best practices.
* Proficiency in managing both on-premises and cloud server environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar
* Good understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention and intrusion detection systems.
Experience in the following technologies and concepts:
* Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online
* HP Synergy / Server Blade Infrastructure
* Storage Technologies – Preferable HPE and Fibre Channel
* Hyper-V and Hyper-V Clusters
* Failover Clusters for MS SQL Server
* IP Telephony
* Proficiency with various operating systems, windows, linux etc
* LAN/WAN/VPN Technology
* In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and internetworking with heterogeneous technologies
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Understanding of scripting and programming languages, including but not limited to PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, Java, PHP, etc.
