Job Title
Workshop Supervisor (Day Shift) — full‐time, Hope Valley, Perth.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Workshop Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day shift workshop operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
* Lead and direct fabrication teams to maintain workflow, pace, and quality.
* Coordinate handovers between night and day shift to ensure continuity across projects.
* Drive safety‐first behaviours and ensure compliance with WHS and ISO standards.
* Monitor team performance and address productivity or behavioural issues.
* Provide clear instructions and maintain accountability across labour hire teams.
* Support QA/QC processes including inspections and fabrication standards.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables.
* Maintain accurate reporting and communication with management.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify you need to be:
* Trade‐qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 6 years' experience in heavy structural steel fabrication.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a workshop environment.
Additional preferred skills:
* Strong leadership experience in workshop or manufacturing environments.
* Ability to manage diverse teams, including labour hire workforces.
* Solid understanding of fabrication processes, timelines, and productivity expectations.
* Knowledge of WHS practices and workshop compliance requirements.
* Forklift licence (highly regarded).
* First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
* Experience working across shift‐based or high‐volume production environments.
