About the Role
We are currently seeking a Female Support Worker to join our team in Sale. You will be working with young people with autism, including non-verbal clients, providing support that is compassionate, respectful, and empowering.
Shift Hours:
Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support and some personal care using a positive, person-centred approach
* Encourage and promote client independence
* Assist clients with their emotional, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs
* Support clients during activities and community participation
* Provide transport when required
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with young people with autism (highly regarded)
* Experience supporting non-verbal young people
* Friendly, respectful, and willing to learn
* Strong relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support/Community or higher, OR 1+ year equivalent experience
* NDIS Worker's Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
* Current driver's licence and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Proof of Australian citizenship or valid working visa
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (including booster if eligible) or valid medical exemption
* Passion for working with people with disabilities and supporting independence
