Overview
The Yiros Shop is a family-owned, Australian-based fast-casual restaurant chain offering Greek-inspired street food. We are opening a brand-recent restaurant in Westfield Chermside and are looking for juniors to join the launch team. This advertisement is for Team Members under the age of 18.
We’re looking for juniors who are available to work after school hours Monday to Friday and on the weekends, to be part of our new location from day one.
This is your chance to be part of something new and exciting from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving up our Greek street food
- Keeping things clean and tidy (hygiene-focused)
- Delivering friendly, fast and efficient customer service
- Learning the ropes of food safety and kitchen operations
- Handling cash and mastering the register
- Working with a tight-knit crew to make each shift fun and productive
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn – no experience needed!
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is still fun
- Strong communication skills and friendly customer-facing demeanor
- A keen eye for cleanliness and food safety
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in fast food before – but not essential
Must-Haves
- Completion of the I’m Alert Food Safety online course (free)
