About the role
An opportunity exists for a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist to be involved in leading part of our Adult Mental Health Community Services. The role will focus on clinical leadership of the Waverley Continuing Care Team.
Working in a dual governance leadership with the Service Manager, the Lead Consultant will be responsible for providing leadership, management, development, implementation and delivery of high quality adult community mental health care across community clinical teams to ensure that Eastern Health meets legislative requirements and health service agreements negotiated with the Department of Health as well as implementing the strategic initiatives and service improvements in the clinical stream.
As a Lead Consultant Psychiatrist you will be supported to participate in further education, including professional development as well as training and education for senior and junior medical staff and other disciplines across the interdisciplinary team.
