We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate.
We have positions available for immediate start, within a stable work environment for Unskilled Meat Workers with no experience in meat processing based in Warrnambool, Victoria.
Main Duties & Responsiblities
Packing of meat into boxes or plastic bagMarshaling of carcasses and carton into refrigerator, freezers and shipping container, manual lifting requiredGeneral tidying up slaughter floors and boning rooms, by using shovels and broomsAssisting with removal of hides, fore & hind hock from carcasses, manual and mechanicalAttaching a shackle chain around the rear leg of a cattle and lifting carcasses forelegs into cleats in the slaughter chainRemoval of animal tail by using a knifeFolding pre-cut cardboard into a carton and insert plastic liner
Skills & Experiences
You must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a teamYou understand the importance of good hygiene, attention to detail and following proceduresYou must have the right to work full-time in Australia (38 hours/week)You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if requiredYou have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process.
