Ready Chef Go is a growing food distribution company committed to delivering high-quality products and reliable service to our customers across Australia. As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing delivery operations, coordinating freight couriers, and working with third-party logistics providers. You will be supported by a Warehouse & Logistics 2IC and lead a team focused on efficiency, safety, compliance, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Lead and manage warehouse & logistics staff with support from a Warehouse & Logistics 2IC to ensure efficient operations and high team performance.
Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with schedules, safety standards, and company procedures.
Manage relationships with freight couriers and transport providers, ensuring reliable service, competitive pricing, and efficient freight movement.
Oversee relationships and coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Maintain accurate inventory control and stock management.
Ensure the warehouse operates in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards, maintaining proper storage, handling, and documentation procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Coordinate the receiving, storing, and distribution of food products.
Develop, monitor, and achieve warehouse and logistics KPIs, including delivery performance, inventory accuracy, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, logistics processes, and overall operational performance.
Work closely with logistics and distribution teams to ensure customer delivery deadlines are consistently met.
About You
Proven experience in warehouse management.
Experience managing warehouse teams, delivery drivers, and freight logistics.
Experience coordinating with freight couriers and transport providers.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, inventory systems, and logistics processes.
Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is highly regarded.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
